Life (So Far) in 2016

What a great year it’s been so far. We’ve spent an inordinate amount of time with friends and family and I wouldn’t have it any other way!

While I was gathering a few photos for my son Kiran’s “What I did this summer” poster project I kept reaching further and further back re-visiting all the great moments of the year. I’ve already posted photos from our big Florida trip so I thought I’d add some from all of those in-between moments beginning with the new year until now. There were of course many more, but these were my favorites. I know these are mostly snapshots so there are of course many smiles, but “smiles” seems to jump out as the overarching theme in this series. I’d like to think that this is truly reflective of the overall sentiment of our year.

We’ve been super-fortunate and I am truly grateful. We’ve settled into a new house (I even somehow managed to fashion a working darkroom!), one of us got a new (and improved) job, one of us got potty trained, we travelled and visited a LOT, we relaxed a LOT, we played a LOT, we hung out a LOT, and read and learned a LOT – and, there are still 3.5 more months to go with the holiday season (and a marathon ) right around the corner!

Now for a great rest of the year…
